Introduction
The Peer Mentors Association of Kenya (PMAK) is a youth-driven, impact-oriented organization committed to empowering young people through mentorship, leadership development, and holistic support. Our mission is to inspire and equip the next generation with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities they need to thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. Through our diverse range of services, we seek to nurture responsible, visionary, and purpose-driven individuals who will positively transform their communities and beyond.
1. Professional Mentorship, Guidance, and Counseling
At PMAK, we are committed to nurturing growth and success through structured mentorship and counseling. We pair students and young professionals with experienced mentors who guide them in academic, personal, and career development. Our trained counselors also provide emotional and psychological support to help individuals overcome challenges and realize their full potential.
Through regular one-on-one sessions, group mentorship, and interactive forums, we ensure that mentees are not only guided but also motivated to pursue their goals. Our approach emphasizes values, discipline, and purpose-driven living, helping youth develop clarity, resilience, and a strong moral compass.
At PMAK, we provide extensive structured mentorship in all a learning institution, (universities, colleges, polytechnics, High schools, and primary schools. We recruit, train, and equip our professionals and we also partner and collaborate with other entities and professionals.
2. Individuals and Cooperative Training
We offer dynamic training programs tailored to individuals and groups, equipping them with essential life skills, leadership principles, entrepreneurship knowledge, and personal development strategies. These sessions are designed to empower participants to excel in their personal lives and make meaningful contributions to their communities and institutions.
Our training modules cover diverse areas including public speaking, financial literacy, digital literacy, conflict resolution, and teamwork. Delivered by qualified trainers and professionals, these sessions create a learning environment that promotes growth, excellence, and community transformation.
3. Consultancy
PMAK provides expert consultancy services to educational institutions, community organizations, and individuals seeking to improve their mentorship structures, youth engagement strategies, and program implementation. Our team of professionals offers innovative and practical solutions based on research, experience, and current trends in mentorship and youth development.
4. Rehabilitation Services
Understanding the struggles many young people face, PMAK runs supportive rehabilitation programs for those affected by substance abuse, behavioral issues, and emotional trauma. We provide holistic recovery services that include counseling, mentorship, skill-building, and reintegration strategies to help individuals
Our team works closely with families, schools, and relevant stakeholders to create safe, confidential, and healing environments for recovery. We believe that with the right support system and opportunities, every young person can overcome adversity and rebuild a better future. regain control of their lives and make positive choices.
5. Charity Work
Driven by compassion, PMAK engages in charitable initiatives to support the less fortunate in society. From donating essential items to organizing community service events, we strive to make a tangible impact on the lives of vulnerable children, families, and communities, fostering a culture of care, love, and generosity.
We feed the widows, the disabled, and children, and we provide them with essential services. We broadly get involved in tree planting drives in schools and in society, and ensure the environment is conserved.
We mobilize volunteers and resources to reach underserved areas with food drives, clothing donations, school supplies, and mentorship outreach. Our charity programs not only offer relief but also inspire hope, encouraging young people to develop a spirit of giving and social responsibility.
6. Student networking and sponsorship
We believe in the power of connection and opportunity. PMAK facilitates networking events, exchange programs, and partnerships to link students with potential sponsors, mentors, and collaborators. Through these networks, students access academic, financial, and career support, enabling them to pursue their dreams and create lasting impact.
We are interested in enabling students to get opportunities both locally and globally, pursue their careers through scholarship, and even work in different organizations and institutions.
In addition to sponsorship drives, we organize career talks, mentorship conferences, and inter-institutional collaborations that open doors for students across the country. By connecting youth with resources and role models, we are building a bridge to a brighter and more equitable future for all
